About the Role:
- You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging History lessons for a range of year groups, following the National Curriculum.
- You will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters students' critical thinking skills, historical analysis, and a passion for the subject.
- You will contribute to the continued development of the History curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and relevant to students' needs.
- You will be expected to maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and implement effective pastoral care strategies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of success in teaching History at secondary level.
- Excellent subject knowledge with a strong understanding of historical concepts and teaching methodologies.
- Engaging and enthusiastic teaching style with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
