Job Description - Temporary Purchase Ledger

Temporary Purchase Ledger
£23,000-£26,000, Harrogate, on site parking, study support can be provided, full or part time hours considered.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Assistant to join this expanding team in Harrogate. Due to a recent office move we are looking for someone to join the accounts team and take the lead of Purchase Ledger processing.
This is initially a 6 month temporary contract, however for the right candidate there is potential for this position to go permanent with opportunities of progression into more detailed accounts management.
This is ideally a full time position working 35 hours per week. Working hours can be flexible and for the right candidate we may be able to consider part time hours, including working around school hours. You would however require the skills and ability to come in and pick things up quickly.

Temporary Purchase Ledger Responsibilities:
·Processing supplier invoices accurately onto sage
·Assist in payment runs and processing payments
·Responding to invoice and purchase order queries efficiently
·Matching invoices against delivery notes
·Statement reconciliations
·General office administration as required

Temporary Purchase Ledger Requirements:
·Previous experience working in Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable roles
·A good understanding of accounts processes
·AAT qualifications not essential but study support can be provided
·Experience and ability to analyse data accurately
·Good organisational and communication skills
·Available immediately would be preferred
·Working knowledge of sage accounting software

This Temporary Purchase Ledger role is very transactional with lots of data entry required and may suit a graduate or student who has recently studied Accounts, Finance, Economics, or AAT, or someone who has experience as an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, AP Assistant, or Accounts Payable Administrator. Qualifications are not essential however study support can be provided if this is something you are looking for to progress your career in accounts.
