Temporary School Reception & Admin Assistant, Ashton-under-Lyne

£13.50 per hour + Hol Pay.

Mon to Fri, 8.30am to 12pm each day.

Immediate Start, Until Christmas 2026.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and approachable Temporary School Reception & Admin Assistant to join a lovely, welcoming school in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Responsibilities as Temporary School Reception & Admin Assistant

* Welcoming pupils, parents, visitors and staff

* Answering and directing telephone calls

* Responding to general enquiries and emails

* Signing visitors in and out of school

* Assisting with pupil attendance and late arrivals

* Maintaining accurate records and updating school systems

* Preparing letters, documents and general correspondence

* Filing and organising paperwork

* Providing general administrative support to the school office

* Supporting the wider school team with day-to-day office duties

The ideal candidate for the position of Temporary School Reception & Admin Assistant will be organised, professional, friendly and confident, with good communication and administration skills.
