Your new company We are currently recruiting for an experienced Tenancy Services Officer to join a respected Housing Association on an initial 3-month contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with a strong background in tenancy management, rent arrears, estate management and customer service to make an immediate impact within a busy housing team. Your new role You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive tenancy management service, ensuring customers receive a high standard of support while helping the organisation achieve key performance targets. Key duties will include:
Managing a patch of tenancies and ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements. Proactively managing rent arrears cases, negotiating repayment arrangements and progressing recovery action where required. Providing housing advice, tenancy sustainment support and signposting to relevant agencies. Investigating and resolving anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes. Managing tenancy changes, tenancy terminations and associated casework. Carrying out tenancy visits, estate inspections and customer home visits. Working closely with external partners including benefits agencies, support providers and local authority services. Responding to customer enquiries, complaints and service requests. Maintaining accurate records and updating housing management systems. Supporting wider housing management initiatives and service improvement activitiesWhat you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working within a Housing Association, Local Authority or social housing environment. Strong knowledge of tenancy management and rent arrears recovery. Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour, estate management and tenancy sustainment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience using housing management systems and Microsoft Office applications.What you'll get in return
