Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 depending on experience level

About the Role

We are seeking a Test Analyst (Manual) with hands-on experience in customs declarations and freight forwarding to join our clients expanding Quality Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from the fright/ customs sector who is looking to move into IT and grow a career in software quality assurance.

While prior experience in QA or testing is a bonus, it’s not required—our client is committed to providing full training for individuals who bring strong domain expertise and a passion for technology and quality.

About the Company

Our client are a leading provider of logistics software, supporting freight forwarders and logistics companies in efficiently managing import and export processes.

What You’ll Do

• Apply your freight forwarding operations knowledge to manually test real-world logistics software.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality releases.
• Identify, report, and track software issues with clarity and precision.
• Build your technical skills and gain hands-on experience with modern QA practices and tools.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Experience:

• Strong understanding of freight forwarding workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning new skills and technologies.

Nice-to-Have (But Not Essential):

• Previous experience in a QA or software testing role.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum teams.
• Basic familiarity with Windows environments and Microsoft Office.
• ISTQB/ISEB certification or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, SQL, APIs, CI/CD, virtual test environments, or web-based UI testing.
