Test Engineer

Role Summary
Execute automotive infotainment validation in vehicles, rigs, benches, HIL and offshore-supported setups.
Analyse requirements, execute test cases, investigate failures, collect diagnostic evidence, support defect
closure

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse requirements and create traceable test cases for HMI, Audio, Navigation, Connectivity, Bluetooth,
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Cameras, Diagnostics and Vehicle Settings.
• Execute smoke, sanity, feature, integration and regression testing on onsite and offshore-supported setups.
• Configure ECUs, prepare test data, maintain logs, capture CANoe/CANalyzer traces, Wireshark captures,
diagnostic data and application logs.
• Raise clear defects with steps, build details, logs, frequency, impact, expected and actual behaviour.
• Support defect triage, reproduction, fix verification, regression, release-readiness reporting and early
escalation of blockers.

Required Technical Skills
• Demonstrate ownership, communicate impediments early and maintain evidence-first delivery discipline.
• Collaborate constructively with Systems, Software, HMI, Audio, Integration and Diagnostics teams.
• Separate facts, assumptions, hypotheses and conclusions during investigations.
• Learn unfamiliar platforms quickly, apply feedback and balance speed with repeatability and process
adherence.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
• 2-5 years of automotive embedded-system testing experience with infotainment validation exposure.
• Hands-on experience with automotive networks, diagnostics and at least one primary validation tool.
• Good written and verbal communication for defect reporting, reviews, stakeholder updates and UK
customer-facing communication.
Preferred Experience
• Bluetooth, smartphone projection, navigation, audio, cameras or HMI feature experience.
• Basic scripting or automation exposure using CAPL, Python or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile delivery, ASPICE-aligned processes or customer-specific validation workflows.
• Exposure to premium OEM platforms or UK onsite-offshore delivery models
