Test Engineer

About the role Our cleint designs and builds [products, e.g. automotive systems / industrial equipment]. We need a Test Engineer to plan and run the tests that prove our products are safe, reliable and ready for customers.

What you will do

* Plan and run tests on components, prototypes and finished products

* Set up test rigs, instruments and data logging equipment

* Analyse results and write clear test reports

* Find the cause of failures and work with design teams on fixes

* Write and update test procedures

* Keep test equipment calibrated and the lab safe and organised

What you need

* Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience

* 2+ years in a test, validation or development engineering role

* Hands-on experience with test equipment, sensors and data acquisition

* Able to read engineering drawings and technical specifications

* Clear report writing and attention to detail

Nice to have

* Environmental or durability testing experience (vibration, thermal, fatigue)

* Experience with test standards such as ISO 17025

* Data analysis skills in Excel, MATLAB or similar
