Test engineer

Test Engineer Our R&D team are looking to appoint an experienced Test Engineer.

The right candidate will be familiar and keen to learn data logging/data acquisition, operating complex test equipment and present their findings to the team.

Where required training will be provided.

You will generate and develop test campaigns, to test new and existing concepts and products.

Based on the outskirts of Edinburgh this role is pivotal in the development of future components and devices.

A bit about us At Sunamp we are on a mission to transform the way we generate, store and use heat in our homes and businesses, to help us all make a significant impact on climate change.

To do this, we develop and manufacture heat batteries which use phase change materials to provide heat and hot water.

Our best-selling Thermino range of heat batteries are manufactured in Scotland and replace hot water cylinders to deliver fast flowing hot water on demand.

So far, over 25,000 heat batteries have been installed in homes across the UK and in other parts of the world, cutting fuel costs and carbon emissions for residents.

Some of the areas you will be involved with: Design test cases according to requirements setup by internal or external business needs.

Control the departments test requirements, through scheduling and resourcing test activities.

Run test cases automatically and/or manually.

Proactively identify quality issues.

Continuously improve testing technologies, methodologies and procedures.

Sunamp products software features, compatibility, and performance, through robust and stable test criteria’s.

Verify test results and prepare test summary reports.

Analyse test results and prepare test summary reports.

Knowledge and understanding of test methodologies and UK and International standards that relate to the product under test, for product compliance and performance criteria’s.

Input into test strategies for Sunamp Heat Battery products and relevant applications from front end business needs.

Who we are looking for: The right candidate will be able to provide demonstrable evidence and talk in detail about their skills, experience, knowledge and understanding across the following criteria; Able to commission and log a multitude of sensor types (flow, temperature, pressure and more), Use of Microsoft Office application to generate reports and perform data analysis (excel) Plumbing and Electrical practical hands-on skills.

Proficient with Data Acquisition Systems (data logging) Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Adaptability and readiness to challenge existing practices and find alternatives A degree in a STEM subject
