We’re supporting an established manufacturing business in their search for a Textile Operative to join their production team. Experience in spinning, winding, weaving would be ideal.

About You

* Experience in textile spinning, weaving or knitting would be advantageous

* Previous textile manufacturing or machinery experience

* Comfortable working with machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

About the role

* A key part of the role as a Textile Operative, you will be operating textile machinery across the production process

* You’ll operate machinery including carding, combing, spinning and winding equipment

* You’ll prepare and process materials to the required specifications

* You’ll monitor yarn quality and identify any faults or inconsistencies during production

* As part of the role, you’ll adjust machine settings to maintain production standards and product quality, assist packing and balling of finished yarn

* You’ll carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
