Third Part Risk Manager
Contract: 6 – 12 Months
Day Rate: £650 - £750 per day (umbrella)
Location: London, Hybrid
 
I am currently seeking an experienced Third-Party Risk Manager for a leading organisation within the insurance sector on an initial 6–12 month contract.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a third-party risk specialist to take ownership of the risk management framework, strengthen governance and oversight, and support regulatory compliance across UK-regulated insurance entities.
 
Key Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve the third-party risk management framework, policies and controls
Oversee the full third-party lifecycle, including due diligence, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, renewals and exits
Establish and lead third-party risk governance forums, providing clear reporting and escalation to senior leadership
Maintain accurate third-party registers and coordinate regulatory reporting requirements
Assess and challenge risks relating to outsourcing, operational resilience, cyber security, data protection and subcontracting
Monitor material supplier arrangements, concentration risks, control gaps and remediation activity
Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Information Security and business stakeholders
Support regulatory engagement, audit reviews and continuous improvement of the control environment 
Key Requirements

Significant experience in third-party risk management, outsourcing risk, operational risk or supplier assurance
Experience within insurance or financial services
Strong working knowledge of PRA SS2/21, FCA SYSC outsourcing requirements and operational resilience expectations
Proven experience managing third-party risk frameworks, governance processes and enterprise risk registers
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and report-writing skills, with experience presenting to senior committees
The ability to provide constructive challenge and drive remediation across multiple business functions
