Thriving Academy English Teacher (Fixed-Term, Full-Time) September 2024

A thriving all-through academy in Ealing, West London, seeks a highly motivated and qualified English Teacher to join our dedicated team for a fixed-term, full-time contract commencing in September 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and stimulating English lessons across the curriculum, catering to a diverse range of year groups and abilities.


• Develop and implement a rigorous English curriculum aligned with National Curriculum standards, fostering a love for the subject and promoting critical thinking, literacy, and communication skills.


• Utilize a variety of innovative teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.


• Play an active role in the development of the English department, including curriculum planning, resource creation, and collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives.


• Contribute to the overall academic progress and well-being of students through effective pastoral care and guidance.


• Build strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English is essential.


• A strong track record of delivering effective and engaging English lessons to secondary school students.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• A passion for the English language and a proven ability to inspire students to become enthusiastic and confident readers, writers, and communicators.


• Experience in utilizing data to inform teaching and track student progress is desirable.


• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
