Through Life Engineer

An established defence technology organisation is seeking a Through Life Engineer to lead work packages focused on influencing product design for support and developing cost-effective support solutions for global customers.

The role involves working within integrated project teams during product design and development phases, applying through-life support knowledge to meet customer requirements and business objectives. You will collaborate with functions such as Reliability, Human Factors, Training and Technical Authors to progress design-for-support goals and exploit new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supportability engineering tasks including Level Of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis and Life Cycle Cost analysis
• Apply Integrated Logistic Support standards such as Def Stan 00-600 or ASD S3000L
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align support solutions with customer needs
• Contribute to project team objectives in a dynamic engineering environment

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven track record in Supportability Engineering techniques (LORA, MTA, LCC)
• Sound knowledge of Integrated Logistic Support standards and practices
• Experience working within engineering project teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Eligibility for Security Clearance and British citizenship or dual UK nationality with British citizenship

Salary and Benefits
Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Additional benefits may include company bonus, pension scheme, paid overtime opportunities, flexible leave, enhanced parental leave, training and development support, and site facilities.

Location and Working Pattern
Bristol or Stevenage with a hybrid working model, typically requiring 1 to 2 days on site weekly.
