TIG Welder

Pertemps are recruiting for a skilled TIG Welder to join our client who are a leading fabrication and engineering company. 

The person for the role will perform high-precision TIG welding on stainless steel and exotic alloys (like Inconel and Titanium). 

Material thickness ½ mm to 1.2mm 

The weld must look clean and pass strict quality inspections. 

Pay rate initially £18.54 rising to £19.15 per hour.

Days shift – 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday – Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Key Responsibilities

Precision Welding: High-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and exotic metals.

Purging: Set up back-purging to ensure clean welds.

Blueprint Reading: Read engineering drawings and weld symbols.

Metal Prep: Clean, cut, and fit metal parts before welding.

Quality Check: Inspect welds for defects like cracks or gaps. 

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of TIG welding experience with exotic materials.

Skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination and heat control.

Testing: Ability to pass a practical on-site welding test.

Safety: Deep understanding of workshop safety and PPE.

The role is based in Alcester so is commutable from Redditch, Studley, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon, Worcester
