Coded TIG Welder

A leading UK manufacturer, specialising in precision sheet metal fabrication and high-specification welding, primarily for high-tech and regulated industries such as healthcare, rail, nuclear, and renewable energy, now has a need for additional, skilled TIG Welders.

Based in Oxfordshire, the company is particularly renowned for producing complex vessel assemblies and precision components.

The company has a large team of highly skilled coded welders and utilises advanced robotic and semi-automated systems for manufacture.

Duties

Carry out required welding using a mixture of TIG and MIG welding techniques
Follow information provided on Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Carry out all welding tasks to required safety, quality and efficiency standards
Be able to efficiently complete a number of non-welding activities
Be flexible and willing to learn new process and products in line with business needs
Engage in continued improvement ideas

Skills & Experience Required

Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Experience with TIG, ideally working on pressure vessels or similar
Able to work directly from drawings
Experience with a selection of fabrication techniques
Familiar with ASME IX - BS EN ISO 9606-1 Welding Standards or similar
MIG Welding experience beneficialFurther specialist training and coding is available

Shift work 14.15 to 22.25pm
