Job Description - TIG Welder Fabricator/Mechanical Eng
UE Group Ltd, are an engineering firm based in Corby, Northants specialising in the food production, Utilities and pharmaceutical sectors.
With a number of long term projects beginning shortly at our site in Corby and regularly on client sites across the UK; we are seeking Welder Fabricators/Mechanical Engineers to join our team.

PRIMARY ROLE:
1. TIG Welding, fabrication and installation in workshop and on-site environment.
2. Fabricate, weld and construct products as per the design drawing supplied by the customer/commercial office.
3. Ensure all materials are measured correctly and precisely in accordance with design drawing.
4. Work individually or as part of a team to ensure highest possible standards of production, health and safety and customer service are maintained at all times.
5. Represent the UE Group and associated companies in a positive manner at all times.
6. Complete all relevant paperwork to comply with UE Group procedures, quality, security and regulatory requirements.
7. Highlight any improvements/queries to the product design as part of UE Groups ‘right first time’ and ‘customer service’ ethos.
8. Keep all machinery clean and operational; flagging any concerns to the management team.
9. Commit to reducing costs and wastage of materials and time.
10. Engage with colleagues to investigate continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing process.
SECONDARY ROLE:
1. Support colleagues and other projects as required.
2. Ensure workshop and rest areas are clean and tidy.
3. Fabricate products/parts as required for the manufacturing process.
4. Work with the management team to improve workflow through continuous process development.
5. Participate in meetings as required to assist in meeting specific goals as set out.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.
Relevant TIG Welding Qualification/experience.
2. Experience of mild, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication.
3. Experience with hand/industrial tools.
4. Ability to manually handle safely up to 25kg.
5. Ability to work accurately to tight production deadlines.
6. Full driving licence and own transport
7. Flexibility for overtime/variable working hours and locations.
8. Proof of working successfully as part of a team.
