Our client is a leading manufacturer in the cold roll-formed steel industry, known for delivering innovative solutions across multiple sectors. They are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Toolmaker to join their engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and refurbishing precision tooling, as well as manufacturing associated components to support high-performance production. The position also involves close collaboration with a specialist in-house division that designs and builds bespoke special-purpose machinery, offering exposure to cutting-edge engineering projects.

Job Description

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics to ensure precise manufacturing and toolmaking accuracy.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges) to inspect components within tight tolerances.
• Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machining equipment, including maintenance, repair, and tooling changeovers in a high-standards production environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies in a machine shop or engineering setting.

Essential Experience

• Experience working on press tools
• Can read engineering drawings
• 5 years of experience working in a toolmaking position
• Worked in a manufacturing environment EG, automotive, aerospace, industrial
