Tool Maker

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Kingswinford.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker looking for a stable role within a clean, modern and fairly relaxed working environment, with a strong focus on quality and precision.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance and repair of tooling and precision components, supporting both production and continuous improvement activities.

You will be working alongside teams across Toolmaking, CNC machining and Injection Moulding, with a good level of variety within the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manufacture, maintain and repair tooling and precision components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Work with manual machinery and conventional machining equipment
• Carry out maintenance and modifications to existing tooling
• Produce high-quality, precision components to specification
• Work closely with production and engineering teams
• Identify and resolve tooling and engineering issues
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and health & safety

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience working as a Toolmaker is essential
• Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience working with manual machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
• A reliable and practical approach to engineering and problem solving

WHAT'S ON OFFER

• £20.35 per hour
• 37-hour working week
• Flexible start and finish times within the working pattern
• Latest start time of 8:00am and earliest finish of 4:00pm
• Friday finish at 12:30pm
• 27 days' holiday + bank holidays
• Standard pension
• Overtime available but not compulsory
• Overtime paid at time and a third during the week
• Saturday overtime paid at time and a half
• Sunday overtime paid at double time
