Towbar & Trailer Technician

We are working on behalf of our client, a prominent player in the automotive aftermarket sales and service industry, to recruit a Towbar & Trailer Technician for their Cardiff branch. Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with no weekend work
Working with leading manufacturers and retail brands within the UK trailer and towing products marketDuties:

Fit towbars to customer vehicles, ensuring all marks or scratches are recorded prior to installation
Service and repair the company’s fleet of hire trailers according to schedule
Assemble and modify trailers as needed to meet customer requirements
Maintain accurate records of trailers within the hire fleet
Keep up to date with supplier instructions regarding wiring and fitting processes
Report any vehicle damage or issues immediately to the Branch Manager
Operate within health and safety guidelines
Work collaboratively within the branch team to achieve sales and margin targets
Ensure excellent housekeeping and adherence to health and safety regulations at all timesRequirements:

Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff
Full valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Prior experience working with vehicle towbars and trailers is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge and electrical component familiarity are desirable
Training will be provided for Technicians with strong vehicle knowledge but limited towbar fitting experience
