ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client is a highly respected independent planning consultancy based just outside Glasgow, known for their expertise in green infrastructure, rural diversification, and sustainable development projects. With a loyal and growing client base across Scotland, they offer a supportive environment where planners are trusted with responsibility and encouraged to progress. Due to ongoing growth, they're now seeking a Town Planner to join the team.

THE TOWN PLANNER ROLE:
In this role, you'll work on a variety of planning projects with a focus on green infrastructure, renewables, and rural land use. You'll be involved in preparing and submitting planning applications, managing client relationships, attending site visits, and supporting appeals and policy work. The role will also offer opportunities to get involved in client development and networking, as your experience grows.

TOWN PLANNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership

• Planning experience in consultancy, local authority, or development setting

• Knowledge of Scottish planning system and policies

• Strong communication and report writing skills

• Interest in green infrastructure, sustainable land use, and rural development

• Proactive, organised, and commercially minded
