Town Planner

Development Planner – West London/Hybrid – £28.36 to £34.71 per hour (Umbrella)

A West London Local Authority is seeking a qualified Development Planner to join its Development Management team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping the local environment through the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused planning service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide a professional, responsive, and customer-focused Development Management service.

* Process a range of planning applications, appeals, and customer enquiries within agreed timescales.

* Advise councillors, developers, colleagues, and members of the public on planning policy and proposals.

* Prepare reports and recommendations for committees and appeals.

* Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance with planning legislation and local policy.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Qualified Town Planner with experience in Development Management.

* Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and design proposals.

* Good mathematical skills, including calculating areas and volumes.

* Proven ability to manage a caseload of applications and meet statutory deadlines.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
