Town Planner or Senior Town Planner
Location: Ironbridge, Shropshire | Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and respected multidisciplinary consultancy based in Shropshire, known for delivering planning and design solutions across the UK. With a strong client base and an expanding portfolio, they are now looking to appoint aTown Planner or Senior Town Planner to join their growing team.

The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad range of sectors, including retail, commercial, and environmental planning. You'll be involved in diverse and rewarding projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with clients, local authorities, and other consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications, including writing supporting statements (Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements).
• Conducting policy and planning history research.
• Developing planning strategies and liaising with planning officers.
• Attending meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
• Providing commercially focused advice with a personable, professional approach.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in planning, ideally within the private sector.
• Chartered RTPI status (or actively working towards it).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• A client-facing, commercially aware mindset.
• Full UK driving licence.

Additional Information:

• Preference is for a full-time role, but part-time applicants will also be considered.
• Hybrid working: 3 days in the office (Mon, Tues, Thurs) and home-based working the rest of the week.
