Trade Finance Lawyer

Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting an international investment bank who are seeking a talented and motivated Trade and Finance Lawyer. 
  
This role will be to support Trade & Working Capital business across the bank. In this role, you will focus on trade finance, providing expert legal advice and managing legal risks related to a wide range of transactions and strategic projects.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to international Trade & Working Capital teams with a focus on trade finance transactions.
• Advise on various trade and working capital products, including trade loans, export credit agency-backed financings, letters of credit discounting, and ESG products.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation to the highest standard.
• Support the implementation of regulatory changes and strategic projects.

 
I’m Looking For:

• English law qualified Solicitor with expertise in banking/finance law.
• Proven track record in structured transactions and cross-border deals.
• Strong technical legal skills with the ability to draft and negotiate complex documentation.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage projects and competing priorities.

 
Highly Valued Skills:

• Expertise in trade finance products, including bonds, guarantees, and export credit agency-backed financings.
• Experience in a financial institution’s in-house legal team is advantageous.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
