Trade Marketing Manager - UK (Maternity Cover)

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused Trade Marketing Manager to lead retail activation and trade marketing initiatives across a diverse range of UK retail channels. Working closely with Sales and Marketing teams, you'll deliver impactful customer plans, in-store campaigns and promotional activity that drive visibility, retailer engagement and commercial growth.

Description

Develop and deliver trade marketing plans across major retail accounts, wholesale and independent retail channels.
Build and manage joint business plans with key customers, including promotional calendars, product ranging, shelf positioning and marketing investment.
Support retailer presentations, range reviews and promotional planning in partnership with Sales.
Lead the planning and delivery of point-of-sale (POS) materials and in-store marketing campaigns.
Coordinate retail activation and field marketing activity to improve store coverage, brand visibility and execution.
Align promotions, seasonal campaigns and new product launches with retailer priorities.
Monitor competitor activity and gather insights from retailers, field teams and store-level data.
Ensure product information, promotional content and brand assets are accurate across retailer e-commerce platforms.
Coordinate approved brand-building initiatives, sponsorships, trade exhibitions and events.
Support trade-facing pricing communications and relevant regulatory changes.
Track performance against agreed KPIs, including store coverage, POS compliance and rate of sale, reporting insights and recommendations to the Head of Marketing.
Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing and international colleagues to share insights and support wider business objectives.Please note: This is a 10-month maternity cover contract.

Profile

You will ideally have:

Significant experience in trade marketing, customer marketing or retail activation, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods or a regulated category.
Experience working with major retail accounts alongside wholesale, independent retail or symbol groups.
A track record of developing and delivering joint business plans with customers.
Strong knowledge of POS, in-store activation, promotional mechanics and retail execution.
Experience working with field sales or retail representative teams.
The ability to analyse performance data and demonstrate the commercial impact of marketing activity.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing.Job Offer

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum

Contract: 10-month fixed-term contract
