Job Description - Trading Manager

Trading Manager – Recyclable Plastics


Location: Whittlesey, UK

And since we started on our journey, back in 2005, we’ve developed a worldwide presence, serving hundreds of customers in over 20 countries. And we’ve grown a strong, capable team of colleagues who are dedicated and loyal.


We are headquartered in Hong Kong with operations and representation in Australia, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey & UK. We operate a recycling facility based in UK in Whittlesey (PE7 2EX), which opened in March 2017, which specialises in the collection and recycling of a variety of plastic waste from the manufacturing, packing and warehousing industries across the UK.

No experience in plastics or recycling? No problem. If you have strong commercial awareness, a sales-driven mindset, and a passion for problem-solving, we’ll provide the training to help you succeed.


 


What You’ll Be Doing



  • Market Research & Prospecting – Identifying new sales opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.

  • Supporting the Sales Team – Preparing and distributing material offers to customers worldwide.

  • Customer Engagement – Managing inbound inquiries, cold-calling prospects, and building long-term relationships.

  • Data & CRM Management – Keeping track of market trends, customer interactions, and sales performance.

  • Negotiating & Closing Deals – Learning the ins and outs of commodities trading and developing sales strategies.

  • Collaborating Across Teams – Working closely with sales leaders, logistics, and production teams to ensure smooth transactions.


 


What You Bring to the Table



  • Experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (B2B preferred).

  • A hunter mentality—comfortable with outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.

  • Strong commercial awareness and a keen interest in trading, recycling, or sustainability.

  • Ability to analyse data, spot trends, and think strategically.

  • Exceptional communication skills—able to engage native and non-native English speakers.

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
