Trading Services Coordinator

Job Function Summary

Trading Services is responsible for onboarding Portfolio Managers (PMs) and their teams to the Millennium platform. We serve as a key point of contact through onboarding discussions, introductions to trading tools/services, and general guidance as managers work to launch their trading strategy.  We remain an important point of contact throughout a Portfolio Manager’s career at Millennium, helping to ensure they have all the resources required to run a successful business.

This role will work alongside the team of Relationship Managers to ensure the successful onboarding of PMs and their teams. It will work across businesses with our Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Quant Strategies management teams with a clear progression path for a successful candidate.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Schedule Portfolio Manager introductions and demos
  • Liaise with Portfolio Managers on new joiner requirements
  • Document, evaluate, and socialize these requirements amongst core teams, ensuring readiness for day one
  • Coordinate group transfers and relocations of trading personnel
  • Manage portfolio setup for existing Portfolio Managers
  • Help the team with onboarding and launch approvals
  • Oversee shutdown processes for trading groups and portfolios
  • Focus on ad hoc projects and improvements to support onboarding processes in order to add scale and efficiency

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment within Financial Services
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and poised in interactions with individuals at all levels
  • Deliver excellent quality of work with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, high pressure, constantly evolving environment
  • Able to multi-task efficiently
  • Be a self-starter and a team player who is able to deliver results with minimal supervision demonstrating a high degree of proactiveness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel
