Traffic Marshall

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshall / Gateman to provide short-term holiday cover on a busy new build housing development in Benwell, Newcastle.

Working alongside the site management team, you will be responsible for controlling site access, managing vehicle movements, and ensuring the safety of workers, delivery drivers, and local residents around the site entrance while the regular operative is away.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely guiding and marshalling delivery lorries, heavy plant, and site traffic entering and exiting the development.
Managing the main site gate, logging incoming deliveries, contractors, and site visitors.
Enforcing strict pedestrian and vehicle segregation around the site perimeter and access points.
Maintaining clear communication with delivery drivers and the Site Manager via two-way radio.
Assisting with general gatehouse duties and ensuring the site entrance remains clean, clear, and organised.

What We Are Looking For:

Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Control Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or recognised equivalent).
Previous experience managing site traffic on residential new build construction sites.
Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
Assertive approach to site safety, excellent punctuality, and clear communication skills.
Based in or easily commutable to Benwell / West Newcastle.
