Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Engineer

Are you an experienced highways or traffic engineering professional looking to play a key role in improving local transport networks? We're seeking a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Engineer to support the delivery of Traffic Regulation Orders for highway improvement and transport projects.

This role require 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a programme of Traffic Regulation Orders from initiation through to implementation.
Prepare, review and process TRO documentation in line with statutory requirements.
Coordinate consultations with residents, statutory consultees and other stakeholders.
Assess objections and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Work closely with project managers and design teams to ensure schemes meet programme deadlines.
Liaise with legal teams, contractors and local authority departments throughout the process.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council procedures.
Support the delivery of highway improvement and traffic management projects where required.
What We're Looking For:

Experience delivering or supporting Traffic Regulation Orders within a highways or local authority environment.
Knowledge of highways legislation and statutory TRO procedures.
Strong project coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public.
Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Highways Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
