Trainee Accountant

Reed are partnered with a leading, 14-Partner, Accountancy Practice recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join their Business Services department.

The role would be suited to a graduate, with 1 year's experience working in practice. You will ideally be studying towards your AAT. The firm will provide full study support towards AAT and then onto ACCA.

The firm offer a hybrid working policy allowing the successful candidate to work from home 2 days per week, post probation.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare sole trader, partnership and corporate accounts
• Assist Seniors with analysis and preparatory work for more complex cases
• Acquire a basic knowledge of tax and an understanding of the principles of personal tax rules and PAYE
• Assist with completion of PAYE forms, P11Ds and P35s
• Assist with preparation of VAT returns for review by Partner/Manager
• Assist with straightforward analysis and preparatory work for Seniors
• Prepare simple company tax computations
