Trainee Accountant - Theatre Clients

Accounts Trainee

We are seeking an Accounts Trainee to join our Theatre team. This role involves working closely with Seniors and Managers to deliver timely and effective general accounting and taxation services to our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Input and process invoices, reconcile bank accounts, and manage petty cash receipts.
• Prepare journal entries and basic management accounts, including comparing actual spend to budget and investigating variances.
• Assist Seniors with analysis and preparatory work for tax and accounting tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure client and Partner expectations are met regarding delivery and accuracy of work.
• Liaise with clients to progress jobs and manage own time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to team and firm-wide initiatives, and support marketing initiatives as required.
• Engage positively with the business, advocate the firm’s values, and take responsibility for personal and professional behaviour.

• Studying towards or willing to study for professional qualifications in accounting or related fields.
