Trainee Electronics Assembler

Location: Cambridge (CB24)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 6:30am until 2:30pm (Monday to Friday), overtime available
Salary: £25,000 per annum (rising to £26,000 per annum after successful probation period)

Polytec are looking for a dynamic Trainee Electronics Assembler for our client based a few miles north of Cambridge.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out conventional PCB and electro-mechanical assembly
- Operate automated test equipment and systems
- Follow manufacturing instructions and procedures
- Support the Production Manager and raise any issues promptly
- Handle materials and assist with picking and packing
- Carry out occasional heavy lifting as required

Requirements:
- Good practical skills and confident using hand tools
- Hand soldering experience desirable (full training provided if required)
- Able to follow assembly drawings and procedures (full training provided if required)
- Good communication skills and a strong team player
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic PC skills (full training provided if required)
- Reliable, flexible and committed to following company policies and procedures
