Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Demolition division as a Trainee Estimator, working at our Warrington office.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience)

About the role

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Trainee Estimator to join our skilled team. This role is perfect for recent graduates or industry professionals with relevant qualifications and skills, eager to begin or advance their career in the Demolition industry. You will be involved in the entire estimating process, from receipt to submission, including the preparation of deliverables and quality documents. Your contributions will help ensure our estimates are both precise and economically advantageous, reflecting our commitment to delivering the best value in the industry.

Role responsibilities

· Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for various demolition projects.

· Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

· Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

· Utilise MS Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Project, to compile and present estimates and reports.

· Support the development and maintenance of cost databases and estimating software.

· Assist in the preparation of tender documents, submissions, and quality documents.

· Ensure all deliverables meet required standards and deadlines.

· Attend client meetings and site inspections as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned by senior estimators and the management team.

About you

· A degree in a construction-related discipline (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying) or relevant industry experience with necessary qualifications.

· Proficiency in MS Office packages, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.

· Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

· Strong analytical and numerical skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

· Previous experience in the demolition or construction industry is advantageous but not essential.

· A keen interest in the demolition industry and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
