Are you a Diploma-qualified professional looking to build your career as a Financial Adviser? NJR Recruitment is working on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking financial planning firm in Leeds, currently seeking a Trainee Financial Adviser to join their team and develop into a trusted adviser - with the long-term potential to take over the business!!

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is ready to transition from paraplanning, technical support, or early-stage advisory work into a full client-facing role, with structured support, mentoring, and a genuine succession pathway.

The Role:

You’ll be working closely with an experienced Financial Planner, gradually taking on client meetings, advice delivery, and portfolio management as your confidence grows. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the advice process from research through to recommendation
• Attending client meetings and learning to manage long-term relationships
• Building your own client bank through referrals, handovers, and internal introductions
• Developing your technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
• Working towards full Competent Adviser Status (CAS)

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning - essential
• Experience in financial planning - e.g. paraplanner, administrator, or trainee adviser background
• A confident communicator with a passion for client service and ethical advice
• Ambition to grow within the profession and ultimately become a business leader
• Based within commutable distance to Leeds - office presence is require
