Salary: £25,131 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading employee-owned training and skills provider for a Trainee Health & Social Care Assessor to join their growing team across West Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Social Care professional looking to move away from frontline care and into a rewarding training and assessment role. The Role

As a Trainee Health & Social Care Assessor, you'll support apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications through structured coaching, workplace assessments, and regular progress reviews.

Working across your regional area, you'll visit learners in their workplace, providing guidance, feedback, and encouragement to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for a successful career in Health & Social Care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality knowledge and competency-based assessments to apprenticeship learners.
Manage a regional caseload, planning and scheduling workplace visits effectively.
Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey with regular coaching and feedback.
Conduct monthly learner progress reviews, setting clear and achievable targets.
Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) tailored to each learner.
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate documentation throughout the programme.
Ensure Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes are followed and maintained.
Work closely with employers to provide updates on learner progress and achievement.
Support learners to successfully achieve their apprenticeship qualifications within agreed timescales.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

Proven occupational experience within the Health & Social Care sector.
Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ/QCF qualifications in Health & Social Care (Adults).
A passion for developing and supporting others.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage your own workload and travel across the region.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Willingness to complete a DBS check (funded by the employer) and register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Desirable:

Previous experience delivering training, coaching, or workplace assessments.
A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent).
Welsh language skills.
