Trainee Moulding Technician

As a Trainee Moulding Technician, you will be required to participate in a 2-year training scheme to become a Moulding Technician. During this period, you will continue to work on shift under the guidance of the Process Lead and Shift Technicians. Once all is completed you will move into the Moulding Technician position.

Key Duties

• Attend / Pass all relevant internal and external training courses.
• Machine monitoring for performance and efficiency.
• Scrap reduction.
• Process trouble shooting.
• Production changeovers.
• Material ordering.
• Production figure collection.

Professional Competencies

• Hands on experience within injection moulding.
• Basic understanding of the injection moulding process, injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.

Methodical Competencies
•    Able to analyse faults and correct using a logical approach. Root cause analysis.
•    Able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Leadership Competencies
•    To be able to train and instruct others on work instructions or S.O.P’s.
•    Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
Other Competencies
•    Computer literate.
•    Ability to work as part of a team.
•    Self-motivated.
Education
•    Essential - Any Related processing (injection moulding) qualifications
•    Desirable – Recognised Processing Apprenticeship
•    HNC or higher education engineering qualification
