This role would be ideal for someone with construction or steelwork experience, but we welcome applicants who may have limited experience but are keen to develop a trade. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to working safely and professionally are essential. You will work alongside experienced steel erectors, supporting day-to-day installation activities and gaining practical knowledge across a range of residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities · Assist with erecting structural steel frames, beams, columns, and associated components · Support senior erectors with bolting, bracing, and secondary steel installation · Help organise tools, equipment, and materials on site · Learn to read and understand fabrication drawings and site plans · Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy working environment · Take instruction well and gradually build confidence in managing tasks independently Requirements · Some construction or steelwork experience beneficial, but not essential · A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a proactive “can-do” attitude are key requirements · Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weathers · Able to work well within a team and follow direction · Full UK driving licence essential · CSCS and other site qualifications can be obtained while in the role What We Offer · On-site training and support from experienced steel erectors · Opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects · Opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications · Competitive pay based on experience and progression · A supportive team environment with development pathways · Overtime pay · On site parking · Workplace pension · Company events Apply now for immediate consideration.
