We recognise that becoming a successful Recruitment Consultant takes time, the right training and the support of experienced people. That's why we provide a structured 12-month development programme, giving you the skills, knowledge and confidence to build a long-term career in recruitment.

You won't be expected to learn everything overnight. Instead, you'll work alongside experienced consultants who will support your development, challenge you to improve and help you achieve your potential.

Your development journey

First six months – Build your foundations

You'll learn the fundamentals of specialist recruitment, develop your understanding of an engineering or technical market, build relationships with candidates and learn how to identify and attract the right people for our clients' requirements.

Your focus will be on developing into a capable 180° Recruitment Consultant, specialising in candidate sourcing, engagement and delivery.

By 12 months – Develop into a 360° Consultant

As your knowledge, confidence and performance develop, you'll progress towards a client-facing role. This will include learning how to develop new business relationships, understand client requirements, manage the recruitment process and build your own client base.

Progression will be supported by a clear development plan, regular coaching and measurable objectives.

What you'll be doing

* Develop specialist knowledge: Learn your chosen technical or engineering sector, understand its talent market and build credibility with candidates.

* Build candidate relationships: Identify, engage and qualify candidates, developing a strong network of relevant professionals.

* Deliver recruitment assignments: Match candidates to opportunities, manage the recruitment process and provide a professional service throughout.

* Develop commercial skills: Learn the fundamentals of recruitment sales, negotiation, business development and account management.

* Build your own market: Work towards managing an established candidate database and, as you progress, developing your own client relationships and portfolio.

* Work to high standards: Develop commercial awareness, attention to detail and an understanding of recruitment compliance, legislation and best practice.

* Represent Adepto: Demonstrate our values through the way you work with colleagues, candidates and clients.

Who we're looking for
