Are you an electrician with experience in testing and inspection, looking for a chance to progress your career off the tools with full training into electrical system design?

Do you have some level of office-based experience, and want a chance to help lead and manage a growing commercial department within a leading renewable energy provider?

My client is a leading energy efficiency specialist who provide energy saving solutions to domestic properties. They have recently won large contracts again and have a secure, long term project pipeline. With heavy government backing, they are in a huge period of growth and are looking to increase their headcount as such.

In this role, you will be trained in the design of domestic and commercial renewable energy systems - primarily Solar PV. Furthermore, you will be providing hands on testing duties - working with an exciting and varied workload.

This is the ideal role for an electrician looking to progress into an off the tools role and train into renewable energy system design, where you can obtain a skillset to secure yourself work for the rest of your life. You will also be motivated by career progression, where you will have the chance to step into management down the line.

The Role:

• Design of Solar PV systems, as well as Heat Pumps.
• Site surveys and feasibility studies.
• Mixture of Domestic and Commercial (Primarily domestic to start).
• Inspecting and testing of electrical systems, with quality control / compliance in mind.
• 80% office based, 20% field based.
• Providing technical advice to clients with design queries.
• Assisting with DNO / Grid Application processes.

The Candidate:

• Qualified electrician with experience in testing and inspection, looking to get off the tools.
• 18th edition, 2391.
• Someone already working within a design role, maybe seeking a role with greater career progression.
• Full UK Driving license.
• Motivated by career progression and training.
