Location: Desborough, NN14
Salary: £24,000 + target-based bonus scheme
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday: 8:30am-4:30pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + full 2-week Christmas shutdown
No weekend work

Our client, a creative, family-run business, is looking for a motivated and practical individual to join their busy rug edging and sampling team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a unique skill, be part of a highly skilled and supportive team, and contribute to the production of luxury, bespoke rugs.

You will also support the sampling team—producing and preparing samples sent across the UK and internationally. The role offers variety and the chance to assist other warehouse departments when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Edging rugs of all sizes and shapes as part of a team
• Full involvement in rug production: cutting, chamfering, sewing, and finishing
• Assisting with the creation and distribution of rug samples
• Supporting trade show preparation and assisting across departments when required

What We’re Looking For

• A practical, hands-on worker with attention to detail
• Someone who takes pride in craftsmanship
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and using vibrating tools
• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
• Any prior experience in sewing, textiles, or crafting is a bonus—but not essential. Full training will be provided.
