Trainee Service Technician

This is a terrific opportunity for a recent college leaver with a BTEC or equivalent within electronics, engineering, or mechanics, or maybe you have just left college without these subjects, yet you are simply very good at fixing things and want a hands-on job!

This is a full, time permanent position offering a salary up to £20,000 per year. Monday - Friday 08.45 - 5pm with an early finish on a Friday. Full training, annual team bonus, company uniform, 28 days holiday per year. Please note due to the rural location (between Winchester and Basingstoke) own transport is essential.

Working closely with the Technical Service department, you will be trained how to test, configure, repair and calibrate equipment, specifically to customer requirements. You will be communicating with customers daily regarding the status of their equipment repair.

Your responsibilities as a Trainee Technician include:

• Communicating with customers, assisting with technical related enquiries
• Providing quotations and service reports to customers
• Updating the database, sending customer emails and logging calls
• Testing and reconfiguring products
• Booking installation/service visits for your customers
• Collections and shipment of deliveries

Trainee Technician essentials

• Customer service experience
• BTEC or equivalent in engineering/mechanics or electrical subjects preferable - or you have an aptitude for taking things apart and putting them back together!
• GCSE’s in Maths, English and a Science related subject
• Own transport (due to company location)
