Trainee Technician - Print Division

Our client, a proudly family-run business celebrating 27 years as a trusted business technology partner, is looking to expand its team. They are seeking a motivated and hands-on Trainee Technician to join their Print Division based at their Milton Keynes headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, configuration, and testing of both new and refurbished print equipment
• Support diagnostics and repairs of machines in our workshop and on-site
• Participate in equipment deliveries and on-site installations
• Provide training and support to customers during installation
• Operate and maintain printing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform quality checks on printed materials to meet company standards.
• Sew fabric as required for specific projects, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
• Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence for manual vehicles
• Must be 25 years of age or older (due to company vehicle insurance requirements)
• A proactive, practical approach with a willingness to learn
• Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
• No experience needed but must have a keen interest in IT
