We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter to join a fast-growing, specialist lending business based in the heart of Woking. Key Responsibilities

Assess packaged applications and Decision in Principle enquiries in line with lending policies and FCA regulations.

Review lending files throughout the underwriting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

Maintain accurate customer and loan data across systems and documentation.

Build strong working relationships with key third-party partners including intermediaries, solicitors, and valuation panel managers.

Meet performance KPIs and maintain underwriting mandate levels.

Provide support to senior team members and contribute to ongoing policy and procedural improvements.

Approve cases within your delegated mandate authority.

Stay informed on market trends and regulatory developments in the second-charge lending sector.

Complete all three levels of the CeMAP programme as part of regulatory training.

Offer suitable mortgage advice for direct customer applications where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in a lending environment.

CeMAP qualification (preferred or willingness to complete).
