Trainee / Part-Qualified Accountant Harrogate | £28,000 – £35,000 DOE | Permanent, Full-time | ACA Study Support

Are you looking to progress your career in accountancy and gain broader experience across accounts, audit and tax?

Castle Employment are working with a friendly, independent accountancy practice in Harrogate who are looking for a Trainee or Part-Qualified Accountant to join their Accounts and Audit team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accountancy experience who wants to continue developing within practice, with full ACA study support and exposure to a varied portfolio of clients.

You'll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team where you'll have the opportunity to build your technical knowledge, take on more responsibility as you develop and gain experience across different areas rather than being restricted to one specialism.

What you'll be doing Your role will be varied and will include:

Preparing accounts for a range of clients

Supporting and undertaking audit assignments

Assisting with tax work

Working across a mixed portfolio of clients

Supporting the wider team with general accountancy work

Developing your technical knowledge

Taking on increased responsibility as your experience grows

Working towards your ACA qualification

What we're looking for We're keen to speak with candidates who already have some accountancy experience and are looking for their next step.

You might already be studying AAT or ACA, have recently completed AAT, or have started building your experience within either an accountancy practice or an industry finance team.

For candidates further into their studies, previous experience of both accounts preparation and audit would be particularly beneficial.

You'll be someone who is keen to learn, comfortable working across a varied role and enjoys being part of a smaller, collaborative team.

What's on offer?
£28,000 – £35,000, depending on experience and qualification level

Full ACA study support

Time off to attend Kaplan courses in Leeds and sit exams

Flexible start and finish times

Paid overtime or TOIL for additional hours worked

Ability to accumulate up to 50 hours of TOIL to take as time off or have paid

20 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Holiday entitlement increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after five years

Working hours This is predominantly an office-based role in Harrogate, with flexible working hours. 

Ad hoc home working can also be accommodated depending on individual circumstances.
