Job Description - Training and Development Specialist

The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of training programs for employees involved in the PCB manufacturing and SMT assembly processes. This role assists in delivering technical training, maintaining training records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IPC-A-610. As a part of a team, the ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing, strong instructional skills, and a passion for workforce development.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and conducting technical training programs for PCB assembly and SMT processes.
Support IPC-A-610 training and certification programs under the guidance of management.
Maintain and update training records, certifications, and employee competency assessments.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify training needs and improvement opportunities.
Develop and update training materials, instructional guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and implementing enhancements to improve learning outcomes.
Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to employees to reinforce best practices.
Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
Stay informed about industry advancements, IPC standards, and SMT technologies.
Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, education, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or technical training.
Familiarity with IPC standards, SMT processes, soldering techniques, and quality control practices.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create training materials and effectively deliver instruction to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MasterControl Document Control platform, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple training programs.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
