  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of client files, from instruction through to matter completion.

  • Drafting a range of legal documents, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Declarations of Trust, and probate-related forms.

  • Preparing documentation for probate applications and assisting in their submission to the Probate Registry.

  • Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries, and third parties such as banks, HMRC, and care providers, both in writing and over the telephone.

  • Attending client meetings, taking detailed attendance notes, and gaining exposure to the full client journey.

  • Undertaking legal research and keeping up to date with changes in private client law and relevant procedures.

  • Opening files and conducting compliance and ID checks in accordance with regulatory and internal procedures.

  • Managing key dates and deadlines to ensure files progress efficiently and client expectations are met.

  • Handling administrative tasks, including diary management, appointment booking, and file organisation.

  • Supporting the team with occasional business development, community engagement, and firm-wide initiatives.

This role offers a strong foundation for anyone looking to pursue a future as a solicitor, particularly within Private Client law.

What We're Looking For:

  • LPC graduate, ideally with some prior legal or client-facing experience

  • Friendly, professional, and confident communicator

  • Organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude

  • A genuine interest in Private Client work and a desire to build a long-term career in this area

  • Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to occasional client visits)
Why Join Us?

  • Supportive and approachable team with a focus on development

  • Valuable hands-on legal experience

  • Clear path to potential Training Contract

  • Opportunities for client interaction and growing responsibility
  • A well-structured firm with a strong local reputation
