Job Description - Training Manager

The Training Manager at Debenhams Group Sheffield is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive training programs that align with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing the entire supply chain training function, from needs analysis to program development and delivery. The Training Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that employees across all departments are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles and contribute to Debenhams Group’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the training needs of employees by working closely with department heads, Managers, and HR.
  • Create training programs and materials tailored to the specific roles and requirements within the warehouse.
  • Develop and oversee the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Implement safety training programs to ensure all employees are aware of and follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation to ensure compliance and track employee progress.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development within the warehouse team.
  • Develop cross-training programs to ensure employees can perform multiple roles, improving flexibility and operational resilience.
  • Manage the training budget effectively, including allocating resources for training programs and materials.
  • Develop and implement diversity and inclusion training programs to promote a diverse and equitable workforce.
  • Proven experience in training and development, including management and program design.
  • Strong understanding of 21learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Budget management experience.
