Transactional Finance Manager

Transactional Finance Manager | £50,000-55,000 | Liverpool

A role for a leading, global business based in Liverpool has become available. We are looking for a progressive Transactional Finance Manager to come in and lead a small team and proactively develop the finance function and make significant process improvements to help change the future of the function in a very positive way.

As Transactional Finance Manager, you will:

• Manage a small team of accounts receivable and credit control clerks and take responsibility for their training, development and well-being
• Take responsibility for all sales transactions and processing
• Manage all outstanding debt through chasing payments, reporting on bad debt risk and debt position
• Own the AR section of the balance sheet
• Oversee the process and reconciliation workflows
• Support with external audits
• Take a continuous improvement mindset, where you will be proactive in finding ways and taking ownership of improving processes and controls
• Deal with escalated complaints

For this role, you will need to be:

• Experienced working in a transactional financial management role – Accounts Receivable background preferred but not essential
• Experienced in month end close – bank and balance sheet reconciliation
• Strong managerial skills with an appetite to continuously improve your department and also develop your team
• Strong in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Good financial systems knowledge and other reporting/analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL etc.
