Job Description - Transactional Finance Manager

JSS is partnering with a prominent pharmaceutical company based in Hertfordshire to find a skilled Group Transactional Finance Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will take full responsibility for all monetary transactions coming in and out of the business and is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s transactional finance activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transactional finance and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Finance Management:
Oversee and manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly KPI and volumetric reports.
Produce accurate management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.
Ensure month-end close processes support WD4 reporting and facilitate variance reporting against forecasts, budgets, and prior periods.
Financial Control and Improvement:
Develop and improve financial control management.
Develop and enhance finance systems to improve efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Lead, develop, and manage a team of 20 finance professionals (3 direct reports)
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Develop the team to a scalable level to allow for potential EMEA integration.
Financial / Technical Compliance:
Ensure all finance and commercial activities comply with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and governance systems.
Develop and lead a value-for-money operations team, ensuring compliance with purchase contracts and the No PO No Pay process.
Drive continuous improvement on credit terms by supporting and leading the implementation of cashless trading.

Your profile:
Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or international equivalent)
10 years PQE in a Finance Shared Service experience is essential.
Excellent presentation and communications skills. Another European language a bonus
Expertise in at least two of the core finance process areas of record-to-report, purchase-to-pay, controlling, treasury, tax and order-to-cash.
Advanced Excel skills
Leadership experience working across a European business within a multi-cultural environment would be a strong advantage.
Experience of managing large teams in a fast moving environment
Multi-site Shared Service Centre experience essential – especially on international basis

What's on offer:
£85k - £90k package
Hybrid working
