Transport Administrator

We are looking for a diligent and organised Logistics and Transport Administrator to join our operations team. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the Transport & Distribution industry.

Description

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
• Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Organising files both manually and electronically.
• Monitoring and facilitating repair orders.
• Coordinating driver communications, including schedules and job assignments.
• Assisting with billing and customer service.
• Maintaining knowledge of current transport laws and regulations.

Profile

A successful Transport Administrator should have:

• A solid understanding of transport laws and regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
• Computer literacy and good typing skills.
• An understanding of customer service principles.
