Description

• Supervise and coordinate the storage, distribution and transport of goods from suppliers to customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers.
• Implement and oversee operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and warehouse activities.
• Identify and implement optimal route planning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.
• Administer the dispatch process.
• Liaise with drivers to coordinate transport plans.

Profile

A successful Logistics and Distribution Controller should have:

• Previous experience working within a Transport/Logistics role.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and customers.
• Analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
