Pay Range: £35,000 - £38,500 + £5,000 car allowance

A leading national logistics organisation is seeking a Compliance Transport Officer to support transport safety, auditing, and operational compliance across a large multi‑site network. This role plays a key part in raising standards, improving road safety, and ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory and internal transport requirements.

Key Responsibilities – Compliance Transport Officer
Conduct routine transport audits across multiple sites, including 28‑day, quarterly, bi‑annual and annual reviews. Prepare for audits using approved systems before completing on‑site assessments. Ensure Earned Recognition (Driver & Vehicle) standards are met prior to physical visits. Collate audit findings and deliver clear, structured feedback to site and area leadership teams. Present audit outcomes and improvement recommendations to operational stakeholders. Maintain accurate audit records in line with DVSA and ISO requirements. Identify training and development needs within site transport teams. Support succession planning by highlighting emerging talent for future transport roles. Ensure audits are delivered consistently, fairly, and within agreed timeframes. Contribute to wider transport development projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay up to date with legislative changes and industry best practice through ongoing CPD. Qualifications & Requirements – Compliance Transport Officer
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. CPC in Transport Management (desirable). Experience working in a fast‑paced operational or logistics environment. Solid understanding of Operator Licence obligations (desirable). Experience using TACHO Master (desirable). Proven ability to analyse data, collate information and influence stakeholders. Experience creating efficient systems and ways of working. Confident delivering content across a range of transport compliance topics. Exceptional attention to detail with strong cross‑referencing skills.
